Starting his legal career nearly a decade ago, attorney Seth Kretzer has rapidly established himself as an aggressive and effective legal advocate for his clients facing life-changing federal criminal charges and convictions in Texas.
Before establishing the Law Offices of Seth Kretzer in Houston, Seth Kretzer graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with his Juris Doctor. Following his graduation, he served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge David Folsom in Texarkana. For his second judicial clerkship, Seth served a year for Judge Thomas M. Reavley on the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit in Houston.
He later joined one of biggest civil firms in Houston, before establishing his solo practice in Houston. Seth Kretzer is currently of counsel to the Houston law firm, NEWTON, JONES, & SPAETH, where he has defended several pipeline and oil products contamination cases.
Seth Kretzer has served as lead counsel on more than 60 direct appeals in the Fifth Circuit, as well as a dozen capital habeas (i.e., death penalty) writs. Two of these appeals have also led to unanimous reversals on sentencing issues; United States v. Juan Moron-Solis, 388 Fed. Appx. 443 (5th Cir. 2010) and United States v. Tyrone Jordan, 2011 U.S. App. LEXIS 21831 (5th Cir. 2011).
